Story time: June 26, 2009
Another story about cars. Take a good look at the one in this picture. As I recall the one that I’m remembering was very similar but a different color. As a matter of fact it was probably black. The top, however, were very similar. Anyhow this one day we were traveling along the road south of Upalco very near the place where the road to Arcadia branches off of the main Upalco to Roosevelt highway when the wind took the top right off our car. I can still see it, the top, rolling down through the fields to the east. Dad just kept driving our car that was now a convertible. Some farmer probably found our car top in his field and turned it into something useful like a canvas dam. The car of yester year and gas was 18 cents a gallon. Have a good day

It was a great convertible! Neil has a great memory because that is exactly how I remember it happening!
