From Anna and Wilmer Murray’s Journal

Sunday, September 23, 1979

The weather is beautiful. Dad walked to Priesthood meeting. Then I walked up. Sister Roberts was walking too. We had good meetings. Windy Roberts and Shirley Mortenson talked on Histories. Made me want to get busy with ours. Hollis Hullinger was our visiting speaker.
We wrote to Reed and bore our testimonies to him. He is a wonderful grandson.

Sunday, June 15, 1980 Still the wind blows!
We were having a bath this morning when the Jerry’s called. They are coming to the States next week and will be here Sunday the 29th. They just hung up when Dewey called. They are still having Mt Saint Helen eruptions. Dewey says their raspberries are starting to bear. Wish ours were. They wished Dad a Happy Fathers Day. We went to church and I didn’t get the meat on. We were just finishing our T.V. dinners when the Darrell’s came. They wouldn’t let me fix dinner, so we went to Roosevelt and they had Tacos. Darrell worked on the new colored antenna until five o’clock. I fixed some sandwiches but they took them along. Dad slept part of the time and said he is freezing. So he went to bed. I surely hated to see Darrell and family go. Lenore called and talked for an hour. They are leaving for Alaska tomorrow. Then I called Ruth and we talked for about 25 minutes. Dad is awake and says he is more rested.
